Workshops
What’s our favorite thing to eat with chili crisp? Many things, but dumplings reign supreme.
Hei Ma founder Lani Chan offers hands-on dumpling workshops in Sonoma County and beyond, in collaboration with local partners and for private groups of all kinds. Making dumplings from scratch is one of the most satisfying things you can do with your hands, and it’s a lot less difficult than you think, promise.
What to expect:
Together, we’ll make fresh dumpling wrappers from scratch, mix fillings, and learn how to fold wontons and potstickers. Lani will share why she uses herbal infusions in the dough, and the reasoning behind her favorite dumpling shapes. Workshops run two to three hours and are designed to be approachable for all skill levels, whether you’ve kneaded a ball of dough before or you’re a seasoned cook looking to learn a new technique. By the end, you’ll have made enough dumplings to eat for dinner and you’ll have learned a technique you can bring home, share with your friends, and repeat. You’ll sit down to enjoy what you made alongside a full spread of Hei Ma chili crisp.
